NHS treatment is divided into three price bands, and charges apply to courses of treatment rather than an individual item/visit. Additional treatment is provided free if it is in the same band (or less) and within two months of completing a course of treatment.

Price bands for paying NHS patients:

Fees correct as of

BAND ONE: includes an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.

BAND TWO: includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).

BAND THREE: includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.

EMERGENCY: If you require urgent care, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge of £21.60. Most urgent treatments can be done in one appointment. However, if more than one visit is required and you return to the same dentist to complete your urgent treatment, the Band 1 urgent charge is all that you should pay.

You may be exempt from your dental charges if either you or your partner, receive either:

Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or Guarantee Pension Credit, or you are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate, or you are named on a valid HC2 certificate.

HC3 certificate: Partial help towards the cost of your NHS dental treatment may be available if you hold a valid HC3 certificate. The HC3 certificate tells you how much you will have to pay.

NOT COVERED ON NHS ARE:

Dental Implants, Tooth Whitening, Cosmetic Dentistry.

Please contact us to discuss any queries and for costings of your treatment.

NOTE: We reserve the right to charge 50% of the appointment fee, if less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is given to our reception team. We do not accept appointment cancellations by email, please call the practice.
